Today I’m sharing a peek at my Christmas décor haul — featuring neutral tones with a few rich burgundy accents I picked up locally at Atlantic Superstore and Atlantic Fabrics here in Nova Scotia. Even if you’re not local, you’ll find plenty of inspiration for your own holiday decorating!

This Year’s Color Palette
My Christmas décor is usually neutral with lots of warm woods, whites, and brass, but this year I wanted to bring in some deep burgundy.
superstore christmas decor finds 2025
After checking a few stores, I found the perfect shade at Superstore — large velvet burgundy ornaments with a ribbed texture that add the perfect pop of color to my tree. ($9.00) a pack

I also picked up a variety pack of dark chocolate brown ornaments that will contrast beautifully with my lighter décor, plus a set of antique brass ornaments for a vintage touch.

And because bells are everywhere this year, I grabbed a three-pack of mini brass bells — perfect for styling on a wreath, hanging from a mantel, or adding to a garland. These were only ($12.99)
Neutral Villages and Mini Trees
Superstore also had some adorable wooden villages and trees this year. I picked up two neutral houses that light up and plan to style them on a shelf for a cozy, minimalist Christmas village look.

Greenery & Wreaths from Atlantic Fabrics
At Atlantic Fabrics, I found the prettiest realistic wreaths for just $12.50. They’re full, soft, and look so natural — perfect for adding a ribbon and those brass bells. I also picked up a few greenery stems for $4.50 each. They’re great for smaller vases or for crafting projects like wreaths and garlands.

And because I can never resist a good mug, I grabbed a Christmas mug for $14.99 with a simple tree design and terracotta-style base — such a cozy find!
DIY Christmas Ornament ideas
Since I couldn’t find the exact deep red ornaments I wanted, I’m planning to DIY a few. I picked up two shades of red paint and will mix them with baking soda for texture that I might add rub and buff to.

I also found a small piece of burgundy fabric to try a Mod Podge fabric ornament idea I saw on Pinterest — we’ll see how it turns out!
Final Thoughts
Between Atlantic Superstore and Atlantic Fabrics, I found so many affordable holiday pieces this year — from textured ornaments and brass bells to greenery and craft supplies. Whether you’re decorating your tree or working on DIY holiday projects, I hope this haul gives you a little inspiration for your own festive décor!
