Fall Decorating Ideas You'll Love 2025: Homesense & Michaels Haul

Fall decorating is officially underway! While it’s only August, I couldn’t resist checking out what’s new at Homesense and Michaels this season. If you love fall decorating ideas that feel cozy, modern, and organic without going over the top, this fall decor haul is full of inspiration for 2025.

My home naturally leans toward an earthy, neutral style, so I always look for pieces that bring in texture and warmth while still feeling timeless. Many of these finds can be styled year-round, not just for fall!

Cozy Pumpkins with an Organic Feel

Pumpkins are always a fall decorating staple, but I wanted something a little different this year.

At Homesense, I found a stuffed green pumpkin with a leather stem and a textured beige pumpkin with a wooden top—both neutral yet full of character. Mixing textures helps create that curated, organic look I love.

I also came across a wooden pumpkin with a gold tip that doubles as hidden storage. This one is perfect for styling on my open kitchen shelves, adding a subtle fall touch without being too seasonal.

Affordable Glassware & Amber Accents

Michaels had a great sale on glassware, and I picked up ribbed amber cups—two for $12.99. These will look beautiful on my dining table or styled on open shelves.

I also couldn’t resist a brown-tinted amber vase from Homesense for $7.99. Paired with faux fall stems, it will bring warmth into any room. Adding water to the vase will also give it a more realistic look! These are great fall decorating ideas.

Versatile Wooden Decor

One of my favorite finds was a wooden catch-all container ($9.99). With its curved edges and natural finish, it’s the kind of piece that can move around your home all year—from the kitchen counters to the bedroom dresser.

I also found a decorative book called “Lifestyled” ($29.99). It’s perfect for layering on my counters with a small vase and other accents to turn a catchall corner into an intentional styled space.

Fall Kitchen Decor Refresh

In the kitchen, I brought in a few simple touches to refresh the space for fall. One of my finds was a short, beige, speckled vase that works perfectly on the countertop, where I don’t have much height between the counters and the cupboards.

I also picked up a set of creamy beige kitchen towels with subtle gray detailing. They’re practical, but they also tie in nicely with the rest of my fall kitchen decor.

And then there’s the small metallic gold pear I found—it caught my eye, though I’m still on the fence about it. I may keep it and style it on my open shelves, or I might return it.

Faux Fall Stems from Michaels

One of the most challenging aspects of decorating for fall is finding faux stems that truly resemble the real thing. Michael's had their classic sale, buy one, get one free.

For around $45, I brought home a mix of beige florals, eucalyptus with warm tones, rose bud stems, and faux branches. These will be perfect for filling larger vases and creating statement arrangements.

Why I Love These Finds: fall decorating ideas

What ties all these fall decorating ideas together is that they’re modern, neutral, and organic. Instead of leaning into bold orange tones, I chose natural wood, soft textures, and muted amber accents that transition beautifully from season to season.

I’ll be styling these pieces in my home soon, so stay tuned for part two of this fall decorating series where you’ll see everything in place!

Shop Fall Decor Early

If you’re planning to refresh your home with affordable fall wall decor, cozy kitchen accents, or timeless seasonal finds, I recommend shopping early. Homesense (or HomeGoods in the U.S.) and Michaels are already stocking up, and the best pieces can go quickly.
