A day in the life of senior snug these days. 13 years old with a fully torn CCL on his right leg and an injured CCL on his left.

People ask me all the time how it’s going. The simple answer i say is good- he’s doing better.

But if you ask me on a deeper level, I’d say he’s improving, we’re doing our best to give him the best quality of life given the circumstances. That I struggle grieving the loss of my young energetic boy, who loved to hike, chase a ball, or even just roll around in the grass only a few short months ago. But simultaneously I’m grateful to be able to watch him age.

Some days are hard. Like 1am bathroom breaks in the freezing cold. But his tender love and small improvements each day make it all worth it.

Some days it feels like no matter what we do, it could never be enough. But I know there isn’t a bridge we wouldn’t cross it meant making his life a little easier or better.

We can’t wait for his leg braces and hopefully see him regain some independence and confidence again.
