The holidays are here, and I couldn’t wait to start adding festive touches around our home—beginning with my dining table. I’ve been slowly gathering decor from a few of my favorite spots, and this week I’m styling some gorgeous new pieces from Wayfair along with a few budget-friendly finds from Walmart Canada and HomeSense.
This year, I wanted to keep my look cozy and elegant—lots of warm tones, soft textures, and a hint of burgundy.
my favorite holiday finds: decorating dining table for christmas

Wayfair sent me a few pieces that are highlights of my 2025 holiday decor. The first is this realistic garland, full and layered in different shades of green, sprinkled with delicate berry accents. Instead of using it on a mantle (since I don't have one), I decided to style it down the center of my dining table. It brings such a natural, effortless look—almost like it was freshly gathered from outdoors.
To add height and a little sparkle, I placed a set of antique brass trumpet candle holders in the center. They come in a set of three and add the perfect vintage charm to the table. I paired them with simple taper candles from HomeSense in a soft ivory color. These are absolutely gorgeous and worth every penny!
I also fell in love with these woven jute placemats. They add warmth and texture to the table and complement my wood dining table beautifully.

I layered everything over a white linen table runner to keep things light and bright. Then, I added a ceramic vase (one I’ve used in different rooms before) and filled it with a few long, realistic stems from my local craft store. These stems are one of those pieces you can move from season to season—they look just as good on a table as they do in an entryway or on a console.
For tableware, I used the sweetest holiday plates from Walmart Canada featuring subtle red stripes and dainty bow details. They’re so festive without being overwhelming and tie in beautifully with the burgundy napkins I found at HomeSense.
Even though I’m normally a neutral Christmas decor person, the little touches of red this year make everything feel warm and cozy.
final touches

To tie everything together, I wrapped a rich green velvet ribbon around one of my vases and tucked a few small mini trees around the table for a layered, collected look. I love that this tablescape feels both inviting and intentional—perfect for holiday dinners or cozy evenings in.
If you’re decorating your dining table this season, don’t be afraid to mix materials—metal, greenery, and soft fabric textures all work beautifully together. The key is balance and keeping things cohesive in color and tone.
